Service Description
Microneedling is a great way to reverse the damage that time and external injuries have caused in the appearance of the skin. Creating controlled wound within the skin triggers the body's natural healing process that increases fibroblast activity and increases both cell turnover and cell proliferation to improve texture, fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and improve elasticity in the skin. DP4 CLINICAL TREATMENT INDICATIONS: • Collagen Induction Therapy • Skin Rejuvenation • Ageing/ Rhytids • Ultra Violet Damage • Hyperpigmentation • Hypopigmentation • Vitiligo • Telangiectasia • Seborrhoea (excessively oily skin) • Problematic Breakouts / Acne • Enlarged / Dilated pores • Milia • Keratosis Pilaris • Scarring • Striae • Alopecia PRE TREATMENT: Dp Dermaceuticals are specifically designed to provide pre and post-operative skin preparation and recovery while offering daily home care skin maintenance to support clinical treatments. Patients prone to herpes simplex (cold sores) are recommended to take or apply a targeted antiviral medication prior to treatment. Fitzpatrick IV-VI or skins prone to PIH, is recommended to use Dp Dermaceuticals BRITE LITE as a twice daily prep for at least 2 weeks prior to Dp4 treatment. Avoid the following ingredients 1 week before treatment: • Alpha / Beta hydroxy acids such as glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid • Retinoids (vitamin A) such as tretinoin, retinol or retinaldehyde • Benzoyl peroxide • Hydroquinone, kojic acid, azelaic acid • NO ALCOHOL 48 hours prior Patients are advised to avoid the following activities and practices for at least 2 days post-procedure. • Direct ultra violet exposure (Sun and solariums) • Intense cardio exercise or workout • Further clinical treatment (including but not limited to): microdermabrasion, laser, IPL, chemical peels , muscle relaxant injections and dermal fillers • Tattooing (including cosmetic tattooing) • Applying high dosage of active topical skin care ingredients (including but not limited to) retinoids, hydroquinone, alpha-hydroxy-acids, beta-hydroxy-acids, benzoyl peroxide, alcohol (ethanol / isopropyl), chemical based sunscreens • Excessively hot showers, bathing, spas or sauna • Swimming in chlorinated pools or the ocean.
